“I'm not sure what the word limit is here, but it's not enough to describe how great it was working with Valerie. From our very first meeting she was warm, fun, open, and full of so much advice that my wife and I started wondering if we ought to pay her extra. (Thankfully her delightful personality is included in the fee.)

She understood our style perfectly and did such a phenomenal job of capturing our personalities in her photography, despite us giving her nonsense directions like "elegant but silly." As a guy with a, let's say "limited" grasp of aesthetics, I didn't really have any specific ideas for photos I wanted, but Valerie always kept an eye on me during the shoots and knew when I had an idea almost before I did. She could also tell when I was drawing a complete blank and had great suggestions that fit seamlessly with our look.

“We had the pleasure of having Valerie as our photographer for our engagement and wedding photos. I can't overstate how happy we were with all of our photos. We have two rambunctious golden retrievers that we wanted to include in our engagement photos, and we figured there was a small chance they'd sit still long enough to get any good photos. Valerie was super flexible and patient and got some amazing shots. We had a whole album made from the photos because we were so happy with them.

For our wedding, Valerie worked with us to figure out a place to get some outdoor pics as our venue was indoor. She recommended the Washington Arboretum which ended up being a beautiful location. She arrived early and scouted out some beautiful shady locations for our family photos. During our ceremony, she captured some very special candid moments and some nicely posed photos with friends and family. She finished our album in 2 weeks and the results were stunning.
