Love Makes me giddy

My happy place is behind the lens sharing spaces with couples. I count down the days until weddings because they are a beautiful emotional rollercoaster that I love to ride. I get so excited knowing that you will get to see your love through my eyes. I want to show you the way you look at one another, how you fit perfectly in each others arms, the sparks that fly when you kiss and the essence of the love that is uniquely yours.

lean on me

Your photographer doesn't leave your side on your wedding day so it is important to find someone you connect with. I always encourage us to meet in person because I truly want to get to know you. I am fully prepared to help you plan your timeline, refer reliable vendors, answer any questions you may have and to calm your nerves. You can count on me to be the one to get on the floor and bustle your dress, fix your make up if you cry and to be your hype girl. I am here to support you in any and every way that I can because my goal is to help you have the wedding of your dreams.

I will show up not just as a professional but as a friend. I will laugh with you and I certainly cry with you all while striving to give you the most incredible images possible. I have truly found my bliss capturing love stories and I cannot wait to tell yours!

Q&A

What is your style?

My editing style is crisp, clean and colorful. I believe wedding photography should be timeless and classic. I want you to remember your day exactly how it was which is why I offer true to life and consistent edits. Love is colorful and emotional, your images should be too!

My shooting style is fun and lighthearted but still assertive enough to get all your relatives looking my way so I can get the job done. I tend to be a little goofy because people warm up to me so much faster and it makes portraits with me more fun. I use documentary photography so I can capture all those candid moments, traditional posing so we cover the basics and I come prepared with prompts that inspire genuine connection so I can let your love shine through.

why should we consider an engagement session?

I always think it is a great idea to have an engagement session so we can get to know each other better. I love using that time to build a bond with my couples. I will get a sense of your style and preferences so on your wedding day we are already in synch with one another. Another perk is that you will have images ready for save the dates, wedding invitations and to display on your wedding day. My favorite reason for doing an engagement session is that on your wedding day I can come in and give you a big hug and congratulate you without it feeling weird because we will already be connected.

how many images should i expect and how long does it take to get them?

It depends on the number of hours I am there and if you have opted for a second shooter or not. You can count on me for a minimum of 60 images an hour. If I work with a second shooter a gallery is typically 100 images an hour. Turn around is generally 4-6 weeks with a sneak peak delivered within the first week.

how do you back-up your images?

Keeping your images safe is a huge priority for me. I shoot with two cameras and each camera has two memory card slots. Your images are recorded onto both cards. When I get home, I upload the images to an external hard drive and then onto the cloud for safe keeping. I do not delete the memory cards until the wedding gallery has been delivered.

What is the purpose of a second shooter?

There are many benefits to having a second shooter. I cannot be in two places at once and there is so much to cover on a wedding day. For getting ready shots, I stay with the bride and my second shooter will hang with the guys so you both can be documented equally. If you do a first look, I can shoot the whole scene and my second can zoom in on reactions. It isn’t about just getting more images which is the obvious perk, its about having another perspective, an experienced assistant and also an insurance policy that everything will be captured on one of the most important days of your life.

They are so helpful when it comes to making sure family portraits move quickly by organizing groups while I shoot. I only use two amazing women who are both licensed and insured photographers. We work together consistently and have systems in place that make us an efficient power team.

how do we book?

It’s easy! Fill out the contact form on the website. I will send you a brochure where you can pick the package that is best for you. I am happy to help you figure out what kind of coverage you need if you are unsure.

I require a $500 retainer to save that date that can be broken up into two payments if need be. Once that is paid and the contract is signed, we are official and I do a happy dance.
